Police Constable Exam Qualification 2023

Candidates who have completed 10th / SSLC from a recognized Govt. Institute/ University/ Board are Eligible to apply for Tamilnadu Police (TNUSRB) constable Recruitment 2023.


TNUSRB PC Exam Age Limit 2023


Minimum Age Limit:


For all candidates (Gen, BC, MBC, SC, ST) the minimum age to apply exam is 18 years.


Maximum Age Limit:
  • General – 24 Years
  • BC/MBC – 26 Years
  • SC/ST – 29 Years
  • Ex-service – 45 Years


TNUSRB PC Educational Qualification 2023

(i) 10-ம் வகுப்பு தேர்ச்சி.

விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் கோரும் 10-ம் வகுப்பு தேர்ச்சி இணைக்கல்வித் தகுதிக்கான சான்றிதழை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதற்குரிய சமநிலைச் (equivalence) சான்றிதழை பெற்று பதிவேற்றம் செய்திடல் வேண்டும். அவ்வாறு சமநிலைச் (equivalence) சான்றிதழை பெற்று பதிவேற்றம் செய்யாத விண்ணப்பதாரர்களின் 10-ம் வகுப்பு தேர்ச்சி இணைக்கல்வி சான்றிதழ் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படாது.

(ii) விண்ணப்பதாரர் 10-ம் வகுப்பில் தமிழை ஒரு மொழிப் பாடமாக படித்திருக்க வேண்டும். இல்லையெனில், தமிழ்நாடு அரசுப்பணியாளர் தேர்வாணையத்தால் நடத்தப்படும் இரண்டாம் நிலை தமிழ் தேர்வில் பணியில் சேர்ந்த நாளிலிருந்து இரண்டாண்டுகளுக்குள் தேர்ச்சி பெற வேண்டும்.

(iii) பத்தாம் வகுப்பு தேர்ச்சி பெறாமல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட கல்வித்தகுதியினைப் பெற்றிருந்தாலும் விண்ணப்பிக்கத் தகுதியற்றவர்களாவர்.

Salary Details:

The average salary for a Police Constable is Rs 24000. The salary would be vary based on their experience.

It would be from Rs.18200 to Rs.52900/– Per Month.

Exam Pattern

Part 1 – Tamil Language Eligibility Test

  • The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is qualifying in nature.
  • It will be an objective type in nature.
  • It will consist of 80 questions for 80 marks and the duration of the examination will be 80 minutes (1 Hr. 20 mins.)
  • The candidate has to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the Tamil Language Eligibility test, for him/her to be eligible for the next level of evaluation of the main examination OMR answer sheet.
  • The marks obtained in Tamil Language Eligibility Test will not be considered for the preparation of the provisional selection list at any stage.

Part 2

  • Part A – General Knowledge – 45 Questions
  • Part B – Psychology – 25 Questions
